No change to the validity period of email certificates

We've informed you on 5 January 2022 concerning a change of the validity period of email certificates because Apple had announced that it was restricting the maximum possible validity period in its certificate-related regulations (‘Apple Root Certificate Program’).

We are pleased to inform you of the latest development concerning this topic:

Apple has increased the aforementioned maximum validity period again at short notice, so we can continue to offer you email certificates with validity of three years until further notice. However, we would like to point out that the restricted validity period may enter into force again at a later point in time due to adjustments to regulatory requirements. We will of course inform you in good time of any future changes.
